In October Iceland became the next destination for Lamborghini Avventura, the series of Lamborghini expeditions organized to discover the most spectacular places and roads in the world. Following Andalusia, Transylvania and Norway, Iceland was chosen as an ideal destination for testing the unlimited versatility of the Urus Super SUV on roads, tracks and the one-of-a-kind landscapes of Iceland.
The first Lamborghinis to touch the ground of Iceland, seven colorful Urus traveled a total of some 900 km in two days, in a whole range of meteorological conditions, from sun to gusty wind, rain and snow. The adventure started from the Reykjanes peninsula in the southwest, site of the famous Blue Lagoon: the geothermal area fed by the production of water at the nearby geothermal plant of Svartsengi, featuring pools of pale blue warm water.
From the lagoon, the convoy proceeded along the southern coast, touching dream-like places: the cliffs of Krysuvikurberg, named after the two trolls they represent according to legend, to the black sand beach of Reynisfjara, up to the promontory of Dyrhólaey, with its enormous natural stone arch that projects out into the sea, populated by colonies of puffins that nest on the cliffs and migrate in winter.
With the Anima selector set on Terra, the Urus convoy then ventured to off-road routes and fords, providing a perfect demonstration of their drivability on the most extreme terrains, such as on the tract that runs below the promontory of Hjörleifshöfði down to the sea, or leading to the “black” glacier of Kötlujökull.
The journey continued through moss-covered lava fields in the area of the Laki volcano, the iceberg lagoon of Fjallsárlón, at the southern end of the Vatnajökull glacier, and on to the extraordinary vision of the glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón, amidst icebergs and seals. And finally, the convoy returned to the capital Reykjavik, the political, cultural and economic heart of the island, bringing civilization after so many kilometers of nature and a silence broken only by the roar of the seven powerful Super SUVs.
Im Oktober fand in Island eine neue Etappe von Lamborghini Avventura statt, einer Reihe von Lamborghini Expeditionen auf den schönsten Straßen und zu den spektakulärsten Orten der Welt. Nach Andalusien, Transsylvanien und Norwegen war Island ein ideales Ziel, um die besondere Vielseitigkeit des Super SUV nicht nur auf der Straße sondern auch auf unbefestigtem Gelände zu testen und den Urus in der einzigartigen Landschaft Islands in Szene zu setzen.
Die ersten Lamborghinis auf isländischem Boden – sieben Urus in unterschiedlichsten Farben – haben in zwei Tagen insgesamt rund 900 km zurückgelegt und dabei verschiedenste Witterungsbedingungen vorgefunden, – von Sonne über Wind bis hin zu Regen und Schnee. Die Abenteuerreise startete auf der Halbinsel Reykjanes im Südwesten Islands, wo sich auch die berühmte Blaue Lagune befindet, eine durch ihre typischen, hellblauen Warmwasserbecken charakterisierte geothermale Gegend, die von der Wasserproduktion des nahe gelegenen Geothermal-Kraftwerks Svartsengi gespeist wird.
Von der Lagune aus fuhr der Konvoi entlang der Südküste und ihrer traumhaft schönen Landschaften weiter: von den Klippen Krysuvikurberg, die den Namen der beiden Trolls tragen, die sie nach der Legende verkörpern, über den schwarzen Strand von Reynisfjara, bis zur Halbinsel Dyrhólaey, mit ihrem enormen, in das Meer ragenden Naturfelsbogen und den Kolonien aus Papageitauchern, die auf den Klippen nisten und im Winter fortziehen.
Nach umschalten des Fahrmodus auf „Terra“ haben die Urus anschließend Off-Road Strecken und Furte in Angriff genommen, und ihr Fahrverhalten auch auf extremem Gelände hervorragend unter Beweis gestellt, zum Beispiel auf der Strecke unterhalb des Inselbergs Hjörleifshöfði bis zum Meer, oder auf dem Weg zum „schwarzen“ Gletscher von Kötlujökull.
Die Reise ging durch die moosbedeckten Lavafelder um den Vulkan Laki weiter, über den Gletschersee Fjallsárlón am südlichen Ende des Gletschers Vatnajökull, bis hin zur einzigartigen Gletscherlagune Jökulsárlón, inmitten von Eisbergen und Seehunden. Die Rückkehr zur Hauptstadt Reykjavik, dem politischen, kulturellen und wirtschaftlichen Zentrum der Insel, führte nach vielen Kilometern in der Natur und Stille, die nur vom Motorengeräusch der sieben leistungsstarken Urus unterbrochen wurde, zurück in die Zivilisation.
Si è svolta in Islanda una nuova tappa di Lamborghini Avventura, la serie di spedizioni Lamborghini alla scoperta dei luoghi e delle strade più spettacolari del mondo. Dopo Andalusia, Transilvania e Norvegia, è stata scelta l’Islanda come destinazione ideale per testare la grande versatilità del Super SUV Urus su strade, sterrati e in paesaggi unici come quelli islandesi.
Prime Lamborghini a toccare il suolo d’Islanda, sette Urus colorate hanno percorso un totale di circa 900 km in due giorni, sotto le più disparate condizioni metereologiche, da sole a raffiche di vento, pioggia e neve. Un viaggio avventura partito dalla penisola di Reykjanes a sud ovest, dove si trova la famosa Laguna Blu, l’area geotermale alimentata dalla produzione di acqua del vicino impianto geotermico di Svartsengi, caratterizzata da piscine di acqua calda dal tipico colore azzurrino.
Dalla laguna il convoglio si è spinto lungo la costa meridionale, toccando mete da sogno: tra queste le scogliere di Krysuvikurberg, dal nome dei due trolls che rappresentano secondo la leggenda, alla spiaggia nera di Reynisfjara, fino al promontorio di Dyrhólaey, con il suo enorme arco naturale di roccia che si protende nel mare, popolato da colonie di pulcinelle di mare che nidificano sulle scogliere e migrano d’inverno.
Impostato il selettore Anima su Terra, le Urus hanno poi sfidato percorsi off road e guadi, dando perfetta dimostrazione della loro guidabilità sui terreni più estremi, come sul tracciato che corre sotto il promontorio di Hjörleifshöfði fino al mare, o quello che conduce al ghiacciaio “nero” di Kötlujökull.
Il viaggio è proseguito attraverso i campi di lava ricoperti di muschio della zona del vulcano Laki, il lago glaciale di Fjallsárlón, all’estremità meridionale del ghiacciaio Vatnajökull, fino alla straordinaria visione della laguna dei ghiacci dello Jökulsárlón, tra iceberg e foche. E infine il ritorno alla capitale Reykjavik, cuore politico, culturale ed economico dell’isola, a restituire scene di civiltà dopo chilometri di natura e silenzio rotto solo dal rombo delle sette potenti Urus.
